Apple is set to launch its hotly anticipated iPhone 17 range of phones this week. While we don’t know all the details yet, we do know quite a lot about what to expect.
Apple event week is always big, especially when new iPhones are on the horizon, and this one looks set to be one of the busiest events in recent years.
Multiple iPhone models are expected – including what could be the thinnest iPhone yet – plus lots of Apple Watch upgrades, new AirPods and a release date for the Liquid Glass-toting iOS 26.
Below you’ll find all the important info, including the UK start time, how to watch and what we expect to see.
Apple Event UK time
Apple is calling this event ‘Awe Dropping’, which doesn’t really give much away about what we might expect. What we do know for sure are the timings.
The Apple Event will kick off at 6 PM BST (1 PM ET/10 AM PT) on September 9, and we’d expect it to run for a couple of hours owing to the amount of stuff set to be unveiled. What better way to spend your Tuesday evening?
How to watch the Apple Event
You can, of course, keep up with all the big news and releases on Trusted Reviews, where we’ll be bringing analysis throughout the evening.
However, if you want to watch the event live, then there are a couple of ways. The easiest is on YouTube, and we’ve embedded the link below to make it as straightforward as possible.
The event is also streamed on Apple’s site, and if you have an Apple TV box, it can be streamed through the TV app on there. It’ll also be available on demand via the same means. Typically, this is the best way to watch, as it’ll be available in 4K.
When is the iPhone 17 launching?
Until Apple reps officially announce the iPhone 17 range, we can’t say for sure when the phone will be available for pre-order or officially on shelves. We can, of course, make some educated guesses based on previous years.
We’d expect the iPhone 17 range to be available for pre-order on September 13 (that’s this Friday), with a proper release coming Friday, September 19. This is just a guess at this stage, but this is the typical fashion for Apple phone releases.
There is a chance that, considering there are a lot of phones expected, some might be available at different times. However, there have, so far, been no rumours to suggest this is the case.
What is Apple launching?
Here’s a quick rundown of what we expect to see Apple reveal this week.
- iPhone 17 Air – the thinnest iPhone, with a new design
- iPhone 17 – the standard, entry-level model
- iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max – the true flagship, available in two sizes, with the beefiest specs and the highest price.
- Apple Watch Series 11 – the mainstream wearable
- Apple Watch SE 3 – the entry-level version of the Apple Watch
- Apple Watch Ultra 3 – the latest high-end watch, designed with durability in mind
- AirPods Pro 3 – flagship ANC-toting buds
- New cases and accessories for all the new phones, and various straps for the wearables
We’ll also likely get release dates for all the software that was first revealed at WWDC earlier in the year. These include iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and macOS 26.
